Liz Kinsley is a blessed mom to six wonderful children. Her kids keep her very busy in Central Vermont. She also recently took on a full time position at DHMC working perinatally. Liz has been blessed to attend and learn from many births. It has been a joy for her to experience and assist couples in the transition to parenthood. She also exploited her own births to grow as a doula. |
Liz has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Messiah College and received a birth doula certification from Childbirth International in 2007. Liz is also a Trained Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. Liz expanded her skills and earned her midwife assistant certificate from Birth Arts International in 2020. She also received training in using the Rebozo from Gena Kirby. She has experience with sexual abuse victims and how it can affect their pregnancy, labor and delivery. She attended a two day conference "When Survivors Give Birth" with author and birth advocate Penny Simkin. In addition, she has learned Belly Binding. She is certified in CPR & AED use. She is an LNA as a perinatal care technician and scrub tech working on the birthing pavilion at DHMC. She is currently studying through Stillbirthday to help through perinatal loss. She is constantly expanding her knowledge and experience of childbirth as well as perinatal and postpartum care.
Liz lives within 45 miles of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Gifford Medical Center, Central Vermont Medical Center, and Gentle Landing Birth Center. She has attended homebirths as well. She adores supporting women and their partners through pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
